This American state is located in the southeastern side of the country and is bounded by the Ohio River in the north and the Appalachian Mountains in the east. People visit Kentucky for good reasons. And those reasons are going to be our topic today.
Kentucky was the birthplace of colonel Sanders’ fast-food chain. But oh well, that’s not the main attraction in the area. Before you start wandering around the state, time your visit two weeks (wherein a festival occurs during that time frame) prior to the celebration of the world-famous event known as the Kentucky Derby. The event occurs every first Saturday of May.
